World Thinking Day Event Saturday, February 25, 2006 4:00 Set-up 5:00 Event 7:00 Clean up $3.00 per girl (includes patch) plus 1 canned good $1.00 for leaders patch * * * * * * * * * * * * * The traveling Girl Scout Shop will be at World Thinking Day event from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You may wish to give your daughter money for shopping. There will be pins, patches, clothing, etc. You can complete the linked form below and turn it in to your troop leader to order item in advance. Leaders can fax them to the Council Shop or turn them in to the Service Unit Director. * * * * * * * * * * * * * Juliette Low World Friendship Patch All girls and adults can earn this patch. Requirements: All requirements listed must be completed before obtaining this patch. 1. Contribute to the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund. 2. Learn to say thank you in at least two different languages. 3. Have a "tasting tea" on international goodies. 4. Plan and carry out a Thinking Day Observance. 5. Look at a map of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. How many countries are members? Name two member countries other than the United States. * * * * * * * * * * * * * Additional Requirement Opportunities Daisies - Earn the Violet Petal by learning to be a sister to every Girl Scout. Brownies - Earn the Playing Around the World try-it by participating in four other games. Juniors - Complete #1 and #8 of the World Neighbors badge.
